A Danish Modern oak bookcase by Johannes Sorth circa 1960's. The tapered, upper open bookshelf features three adjustable shelves. The lower cabinet offers two sliding doors that reveal an adjustable shelf within. Case sits upon removable, tapered solid wood legs. Clean, simple lined design highlights the exceptional book-matched veneer throughout. Produced by Nexo in Denmark this bookcase is made of high quality materials. In original condition, finish has been restored, some marks consistent with age. Full restoration including any structural and/or joint repairs and refinished with appropriate oil or lacquer. When an item displays an “Unrestored” designation or price, that means it is being offered in the same condition as when we purchased it. It will show signs of previous use and wear. No restoration has been performed by our shop.


When an item displays a “Restored” designation or price, that means our shop has performed a thorough cleaning with mild detergent safe to use on wood. Any structural repair (if necessary) including re-glueing of joinery, stabilization of veneer and or replacement of missing components. Restoration also includes re-finishing of the wood surfaces with appropriate oils, lacquers, waxes, etc. Light cleaning of metal components (if necessary) and re-painting of parts that were originally painted. Restoration does not include any upholstery work other than conditioning of original leather surfaces.
