Danish Modern "The Egg" Model 3316 Lounge Chair With Footstool , Fabric by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen circa 1950's. Ergonomically designed easy chair is one of the most iconic pieces of danish furniture design. Originally designed for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen the unique organically designed shape of the chair offers a bit of privacy. In original condition, finish has been restored, some marks consistent with age. Base shows makers mark and Danish Furniture Makers control stamp. Fabric shows wear typical of age and use. Please inquire about upholstery. Upholstery cost is additional. Settle in with a good book in this gorgeous lounge chair.

When an item displays a “Restored” designation or price, that means our shop has performed a thorough cleaning with mild detergent safe to use on wood. Any structural repair (if necessary) including re-glueing of joinery, stabilization of veneer and or replacement of missing components. Restoration also includes re-finishing of the wood surfaces with appropriate oils, lacquers, waxes, etc. Light cleaning of metal components (if necessary) and re-painting of parts that were originally painted. Restoration does not include any upholstery work other than conditioning of original leather surfaces.
